WIFE&HUSBANDにとってのGRANDMAと僕らが心の内で慕う方がいる。僕らは一度もお会いしたことの無いお婆さん。

僕らが見つけた時にはもうしばらく空き家だった、のちにW&Hになるこの場所は、元はあるお婆さんが一人で切り盛りされていたおでん屋さんだったそう。
印象的な色味のカウンターや、油が染み込んだ艶のある柱や壁、そして動線の痕跡を感じる土間床など、その当時の面影を残す物々を引き継ぎながら、W&Hとして新たな命を吹き込み、再びこの場所の時間は流れだしました。

W&Hが始まると、この場所がおでん屋さんだった頃、足繁く通われていたお客様が、当時を懐かしんで来られることがありました。ある時、テーブル席に座られていたお客様からカウンターに座りたいと申し出がありました。そして、カウンターを撫でながら、ビールは自分達で冷蔵庫まで取りに行っていたこと、年末の大掃除は常連のお客様皆んなで手伝っていたことなどを教えて下さいました。またあるお客様は、この場所でまた店が始まっていることを知り、遠方からわざわざご来店下さり、気立の良い綺麗なお婆さんとの色々な思い出を聞かせて下さいました。その中で何より印象的だったのは、お話を聞かせて下さるみなさん全員が、本当に良い思い出なんだというのが伝わってくる飛びっきりの笑顔で話されることでした。

僕らがこの場所に初めて足を踏み入れた時に、一目で僕らが探していたのはこの場所だと感じたあの感覚には、使い込まれた経年の美しさに加えて、この場所に残る温かな当時の記憶が、僕らの心に作用したのではと思っています。

優しくって、温かくって、ずっと続くと良いなと思える場所とはどんなところだろう。そして、優しく心温まるコーヒーってどんな味だろう。お婆さんは僕らがW&Hを続けていくために大切なことを忘れないようにと教えてくれる存在です。

この場所を残してくれた僕らのお婆さんへの感謝と尊敬の思いを込めて、期間限定ブレンド「GRANDMA」を作りました。
丸く包み込んでくれるような優しさと温かさを感じるコーヒーをとイメージし、苦味は控えめで熟した果実味を感じる深煎りのモカをベースに、すっきりとした飲み口のグァテマラとブラジルをブレンドしました。

お婆さんから受け継いだ温かなひと時をお届け出来ると嬉しいです。

We have a person in our hearts as grandma for WIFE&HUSBAND. We have never met her. This place, which was vacant for a while when we found it, and later became W&H, was originally an oden shop where she was working alone. We created W&H, taking over the vestiges of the time, such as impressively colored counters, glossy columns and walls soaked in oil, and dirt floors with traces of flow lines. Time in this place has begun to flow again.

When W&H started, when this place was an oden shop, customers who used to come often missed it. One day, a customer who was sitting at a table offered to move to a counter seat. And he told me that he was stroking the counter and went to the fridge to get beer himself, and that the year-end cleaning was helped by all the regular customers. Another customer learned that the store was opening again in this place, and came all the way from afar to share his memories with a nice and beautiful old woman. What impressed me most was that everyone who told me the story was told with a big smile that made me realize that it was a really good memory.

When we first set foot in this place, we felt at a glance that it was this place, and in addition to the aged beauty that was used, the warmth that remained in this place at that time. I think that the memory of was affected our hearts.

What kind of place would you like to be kind, warm, and last forever? And what kind of taste is gentle and heartwarming coffee? Grandma teaches us not to forget what is important for us to continue W&H.

We have created a limited-time blend "GRANDMA" with the gratitude and respect for our grandma who left this place. inspired by the gentleness and warmth of coffee, the bitterness is based on deep roasted Ethiopia with a subdued, ripe fruit flavor, and a refreshing blend of Guatemala and Brazil.

We are happy to deliver a warm time inherited from our grandma.
