明けましておめでとうございます。
W&Hの2026年は「GRANDPA」からスタートです。
昨年初めてお正月三が日だけの限定で、新しい試みのブレンド「GRANDPA」を作りました。
深煎り豆に浅煎り豆をブレンドするという味作りは、W&Hとっては進化とも言える大胆な試みでありました。
元々、深煎りのみのラインナップであったところに、ある企画で機会をいただいて浅煎り「FATHER」を生み出しました。そこから、さらに進化しW&Hらしい新しい味わいとして生まれたのが「GRANDPA」です。

W&Hの作るコーヒーは開業当初から変わらず、毎日家でくつろぐ時に飲みたいコーヒーです。
家で飲む時は量が少し多めのマグカップに淹れることが多いでしょう。本を読みながら、考え事をしながら、何かの作業をしながら飲んでいると冷めることもあるでしょう。朝食に、おやつの時間に、仕事の一息に、一日に何度も飲みたい場面があるでしょう。
そんな毎日のあらゆる場面に寄り添える、一度に多めの量でも、一日に何度飲んでも、冷めても美味しいコーヒーを目指して、優しい深煎りコーヒーを作ってきました。
そのイメージする味わいへの新しいアプローチが、深煎り豆に浅煎り豆を加えたブレンドです。

深煎りブレンド「SON」と浅煎り「FATHER」の良さを融合し、深煎りなのに優しく爽やかな今までに無い味わいに仕上げました。

W&H’s 2026 begins with “GRANDPA.”
Last year, for the first time, we created a limited New Year blend available only during the first three days of January. That blend was “GRANDPA.”
Blending light-roast beans into a dark-roast base was a bold step for W&H—one we see as an evolution in our approach to flavor. Originally, our lineup consisted solely of dark roasts. Then, through a special opportunity, we created our first light roast, “FATHER.” From there, we took another step forward, and the result—born as a new expression that still feels unmistakably W&H—is “GRANDPA.”
From the very beginning, the coffee we make at W&H has been coffee we want to drink at home, every day.
At home, you might brew it into a slightly larger mug. You may drink it while reading, thinking, or working—and it may cool along the way. In the morning, with a snack, during a break from work—there are many moments in a day when you want a cup of coffee.
We have always aimed to create a gentle dark-roast coffee that fits all of those everyday moments: a coffee you can drink in a generous amount, enjoy many times a day, and still find delicious even when it has cooled.
Adding light-roast beans to a dark-roast blend is our new approach to achieving that ideal flavor.
By combining the strengths of our dark-roast blend “SON” and the light roast “FATHER,” we created something entirely new: a dark roast that is gentle yet fresh and refreshing.
“GRANDPA,” born from W&H’s new approach to coffee making, feels perfect for welcoming the New Year. We invite you to start your 2026 coffee journey with the NEW YEAR blend, “GRANDPA.”
